Paradise Wildlife Park
On Monday 14th May, Reception children had a spectacular day at Paradise Wildlife Park where they saw lots of animals such as Snow Leopards, Lions, Zebras and lots more. The children were able to consolidate what they have been learning in their topic ‘Animals around the world’. Not only did they have a great time learning about different animals, they impressed everyone with how well behaved and courteous they were. Well done Reception! We would also like to thank all the parents who volunteered to join us on this school visit, we appreciate all the help.
Woodpeckers sharing assembly
On Friday 27th April, Woodpeckers shared with us what they had been learning. They spoke about the topic ‘growth and change’ and how they could see this in the story of the hungry caterpillar. They also spoke about the observations they made watching a plant grow from a seed. Well done Woodpeckers class!
Mother’s Day 2018
This week our Reception children have been busy making lovely gifts and cards for Mother’s Day. I am sure the female role model they have chosen to gift to will be very impressed with their artistic creative hard work.
Every year the Co-op donate daffodils to the school for our Reception children to decorate and take home. This is greatly appreciated – Thank you to the Co-op for this kind gesture.

Please remember that Parents reading morning takes place every Wednesday for Nursery and every Thursday for Reception. Come and join us for an enjoyable session sharing books with your child.
On Wednesday 13th December, Reception children did a wonderful production of singing and acting. Parents/carers thoroughly enjoyed watching the show. Well done to all the children for making this so much fun to watch.

Afterwards, Mrs Wishart held a workshop on “how can I support my child with early reading and writing skills?” Thank you to all the parents who attended this.
We look forward to seeing you all again at our Christmas Concert.
